Introduction

Hi chat, it’s Dai again. Ever since I upgraded my pc, I became an Abyss Walker main, and his gameplay is very fun for my experience. As you know, I’m mainly a Sin player, and I have another guide on Jotunn if you’re interested in checking that out..

Anyways, Abyss Walker is a Close-Mid Range DPS Class with high burst dmg. Your DPS is mainly focused on building your bubble while transformed for [Abyss Strike]. Do note that this class mainly relies on RNG to lower the cds of your transformation skill.

Bubble System

[Abyss Force] is your bubble system that’ll allow you to use [Abyss Strike], basically each hit of Illusion Strike builds 1 bubble. If you’re transformed, all your main skills can build bubbles. Each cast of [Abyss Strike] consumes 33 bubbles so you can have up to 100 bubbles to cast it 3 times.

Assassin

[Swift Cut]: Mainly used to activate the [CM3/Class Mastery III] of [Dark Line] and [Nether Burst]

[Preparation]: Better press that white skill there to buff yourself and the party… always press it if someone needs a rebuff or when there’s a mech wipe buff.

Bringer

[Illusion Strike]: Each cast of this skill gives you 15 bubbles, and using the LMB lets you cast [Abyss Strike]. If used during a movement key, it’ll cast the skill a 2nd time which grants 30 bubbles and an i-frame while moving. This skill is on 1 second cooldown while transformed.

[Night Burst]: Elemental Debuff Skill that resets [Summon Shadow]’s CDs by 4 seconds each time it’s used. All your skills can proc its instant version which is on a separate cd. However, the instant version is RNG so it may or may not proc each time, but do use the instant version when it does. Instant version can cancel your skills so make sure the skill animation is done before you use it.

[Nether Burst]: Filler skill with an i-frame + i-frame extension when using RMB

[Dark Focus]: Filler skill with decent damage.

[Dark Line]: High priority skill with a good amount of damage, you should only use the [CM3] version though. It’s a good bubble generator skill when transformed.

[Summon Shadow]: This is your transformation skill and should always be used whenever it’s off cd. It increases your movement and attack speed up to 20% while increasing [Illusion Strike] damage by a bit.

[Spectral Blades]: Filler skill, shouldn’t really be used unless trying to proc [Night Burst] instant or all your other skills are on cd.

[Dark Conviction]: High priority skill and should be used off cooldown. Make sure the boss isn’t moving too much otherwise you won’t be getting too much damage off of this skill. You can detonate the skill by recasting it if you think the boss will move away from it. Good bubble generation skill. If you don’t know raid mechanics too well, you can detonate it if you wish to.

Abyss Walker

[Nightfall]: Damage taken debuff and should be used off cd. Used to generate bubbles and has an i-frame with RMB.

[Darkness Incarnate]: Self buff skill that grants you 20% dark attack.

[CM1/Class Mastery I]: Deal 10% Additional Damage against enemies with [Dark Burn] debuff.

[CM2/Class Mastery II]: As mentioned before, your main skills have a 30% chance to proc the [Night Burst] Instant. Use it whenever it procs.

[CM3/Class Mastery III]: Allows you to use [Swift Cut] LMB to cast [CM3] version of [Dark Line] and RMB to cast [Nether Burst].

[Abyss Claw]: High Priority Skill with good damage, and is also a good bubble generator when transformed.

[Killing Wave]: Somewhat a priority skill with decent damage, also a good bubble generator skill when transformed.

Rotation

There isn’t really a proper rotation, just prioritize your main skills such as [Abyss Strike] (on full bubble), [Dark Conviction], [Abyss Claw], [Dark Line], [Killing Wave], [Dark Focus], [Nether Burst] and [Nightfall] (always use this at the start of the fight and off cd.)

Make sure to use your [Night Burst] Instant to lower your [Summon Shadow]’s CDs.
